SLEMANI — Revenue collected by government institutions in Slemani fell by 34.607% in the week from August 15 to August 21, 2026, compared with the previous week, according to the Shatafiat (Transparency) website affiliated with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
The website, which monitors non-oil revenues across Slemani, Halabja, and the Raparin and Garmian administrations, reported total revenues of 7,178,790,695 Iraqi dinars during the week.
Of the total, 5,870,520,109 dinars, or 82%, was collected in cash, while 1,308,270,550 dinars, or 18%, was paid by check.
The figure represents a decline of 3,799,131,885 dinars, or 34.607%, from the previous week, when revenues reached 10,977,922,580 dinars between August 8 and August 14.
The Shatafiat website publishes revenue data from six treasuries in Slemani Governorate, covering 28 ministries and boards, 109 general directorates, 516 directorates, 781 departments and four divisions.
The transparency project was launched by the Kurdistan Regional Government on December 15, 2022, under Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, after three decades of calls for greater transparency in government revenues and expenditures.
However, the Shatafiat system has not yet been implemented across the entire Kurdistan Region.
The weekly figures provide a snapshot of non-oil government revenue collection and payment methods across Slemani and its administrative institutions.
